Shawn’s passion for serving others was ingrained in him by years of watching his father interact with people, serve his local community, coach youth sports, and answer the tough calls when others did not. This led Shawn to see the world as a place where he too could make a difference to others…  one interaction at a time.

Born in Conroe, TX, Shawn relocated to Houston, where he and his younger brother grew up going with his father to Oilers and Astros games.  He later moved to Wisconsin because his father thought the freezing cold would build character.

He has lived in Florida since 2001 after considering a career in the music industry.  Prior to joining us, his financial services’ career included time at JP Morgan Chase, Charles Schwab (where he eventually became fully licensed and joined Schwab Alliance), Robinhood, (where he helped build out processes and led the customer service organization), and most recently, at a local Investment Advisor where he served as Operations Manager, focusing on enhancing the firm’s client experience.

Shawn is married and he and his wife have six children.  He has coached all his kids in at least one sport and continues to volunteer at local baseball organizations and the YMCA. While he loves most sports, basketball is his favorite, and he is quick to offer his opinion that, “Yes, MJ is the GOAT”.
